Why Eco-Green?

This is Gehad Mansur, a student at collage of language and communication, media department at The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, as well as being a member of the Arab academy environmental initiatives (Returns Back to You) that is created by the support of Ismail Abdel Ghaffar (President of the Arab Academy) under the auspices of the President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi’s initiative (Get Ready for The Green).Besides, I am also concerning with the environmental issues and following the critical situation of our ecosystem nowadays. After studying media for 3 years, I became fully aware of the different means and tactics that media can exploit to clearly shape our beliefs, decisions & choices. Undoubtedly media has a massive impact & a great role in raising nations’ awareness about every single issue in our life. 






😱😱Thus, according to all of this alarming dates and percentage, raising nations’ awareness can’t contribute alone in saving the environment under this circumstances. 😱😱



what direction should be taken ?

Sustainability development is a concept that even the developed nations realized how it is essential to be applied nowadays. It is defined by The Brundtland Commission as that it’s the development that guarantees the present needs of the current population without compromising the need of the future generation. Thus ,sustainability is work of both institutions & individuals together, especially those who are enrolled in the high education. 



who is capable enough for change ?

High education students may be seen as a small sector of each society but actually they are from the most effective sectors. Students at high education age have high tendency to exert effort and have the ability to bear with the challenges. Thus, these enables them to create enormous impact due to their high resonance to improve the quality of life and engaging in the real world problem solving for the favor of the overall human being. Therefore, theses high educated students’ efforts that is mentioned above should be well exploited to have Sustainable Campus, which is an inclusive concept for suitability on the environmental, social and economic level. Sustainable Campus concept is followed by many universities as the Florida State University (FSU) & Arizona state university (ASU), it is mainly a nourishing practices and greening processes done in the campuses by exploiting the high educated students’ efforts.

Effective movement 

Institutions as AASHE (Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education) is created to inspire higher education to obtain the sustainability transformation through a programs called STAR (Sustainability Tracking Assessment & Rating System), that works as a benchmarking tool & self-reporting frame work for universities to determine their sustainability performance.


For the sake of all these extensive power to obtain healthy environment and well defended ecosystem, this blog will be providing tips, proposals and activities to be done by the concerned individual and institutions, also this blog will be covering the effective movements of the concerned initiatives for sake of encouragements & raising the awareness about our necessity for urgent actions .
